COSEE-NE Workshops and Activities

- Communicating Ocean Science at WHOI (Registration form) - A class designed for graduate students in the ocean science field.
- New England Ocean Science Education Collaborative (NEOSEC)- A collaboration among a range of institutions from across the region, including museums and aquaria, universities, and research institutions.
- Ocean Science Education Institute (OSEI) - bringing educators and ocean scientists together to create effective marine-based curriculum.
- Telling Your Story (TYS) - preparing scientists for the classroom visit.
- Sharing the Challenge (StC) - bringing ocean scientists and informal educators together to create exciting, contemporary exhibits.
- Science of Learning Seminar - exploring the oceans of the learner's mind.
- Inquiry in Education Workshop - This workshop was designed to help scientists bring their natural expertise in inquiry to educational activities.
Engaging Scientists Website
The COSEE-NE team at WHOI has created a supplemental site to specifically help ocean scientists who are interested in education and outreach. This site provides resources, ideas, inspiration, and tools for researchers to become effectively involved in education and outreach.
